T700 carbon fibre face, embedded quartz grit
Every FIZZ paddle uses T700 carbon fibre: the same material specification as paddles selling for $300+. On APEX, fine quartz particles are built into the surface layer when the paddle is made, rather than sprayed on afterwards. The texture grips the ball for spin and control, and because it's part of the surface, it's less likely to wear smooth than a sprayed-on grit.
16mm EPP foam core
EPP (expanded polypropylene) foam is a different construction category from polypropylene honeycomb. Instead of a cell matrix, it's an integrated foam body: consistent density throughout, no cell walls to collapse under high-energy contact. The face compresses slightly at contact, extends dwell time, and returns the ball with depth.
