T700 carbon fibre face, embedded quartz grit
Every FIZZ paddle uses T700 carbon fibre: the same material specification as paddles selling for $300+. On EDGE, fine quartz particles are built into the surface layer when the paddle is made, rather than sprayed on afterwards. The texture grips the ball for spin and control, and because it's part of the surface, it's less likely to wear smooth than a sprayed-on grit.
16mm PP honeycomb core
The firmest core we make, with less give at contact. The ball leaves fast. Where SPARK's core absorbs impact, EDGE's transfers it. The energy you put into the shot comes back into the ball, not into the core.
PU foam layer
A PU foam layer sits behind the honeycomb core, improving structural integrity.
PU foam throat reinforcement
The PU foam extends to the throat, the junction between paddle face and handle. Stiffens the neck, reduces vibration transmission into the grip.

EDGE is built for power, but the T700 carbon face still generates touch on soft shots. Players who mix baseline driving with kitchen play use it comfortably. The feel is firmer, but control is still there with technique.
Both have power, delivered differently. EDGE's firm face sends the ball back fast, with a loud pop. APEX's foam core holds the ball a fraction longer, then sends it deep.
A firm face moves less at contact. Touch depends more on technique and the grip of the face than on firmness, so the touch is still there.
